My dad use to come home with flowers for my mother on special occasions, I would often wonder where did they come from, they had no paper around them, they were a bit wild looking, surely he didn’t steal them from someones garden. Then one day I was with him in the car and he drove up to this little nature reserve in our neighbourhood, I know this is wrong but it was a long time ago, in the far away and sweet 80’s and he picked a few flowers, of course he could afford to buy her flowers and often he did. But somehow the wild flowers he risked getting caught for seemed so much more special. I have never doubted their love for each other.
